Mi último round (My Last Round) (Chile / Argentina)

 

This film demythologizes the "machismo" of the boxing world. In the south of Chile a love story is born between the successful boxer Octavio and Hugo, a kitchen assistant. When they move to the capital Santiago, they expect to fulfil their dreams and live their love secretly by defying it from the hostile world outside. However the heterosexual flirting of Hugo will endanger their relationship due to the homosexual integrity of the boxer Octavio. This fight could be a new way out – or his very last round.
