He was born on July 26th, 1965 in Placetas (Las Villas), Cuba. He began in the theatre when he was fifteen years-old. His debut was with Strawberry & Chocolate, nominated for the Oscar in 1995. He has a prolific professional career in the cinema, theatre and TV. From the 2005 he works in addition writing scripts for developing digital video projects, CayArte. He has received numerous prizes. The short film ¿Soy yo acaso el guardián de mi hermano? has been directed and performed by him and Pedro Maria Sanchez.
